How sweet!

Witwisit Hirunwongkul was born in Chiang Mai on July 20, 1989.  His nickname (พิช) comes from English and is pronounced “Peach.”  (And is he ever peachy!  :-)     )

Peach graduated from Montfort high school and turned down an admission to study medicine at Chiang Mai University for an opportunity to study Theater Arts at Thammasat University in Bangkok.  He has a hi5 website: http://witwisit.hi5.com/.

He has great musical talent and is actually working with a Thai band, The August Band:

Mario Maurer was born in 1988, the son of a German father and a Chinese mother.  His acting in “The Love of Siam” has made him a superstar, and his fans now call him “Super-Mario.”

The word “Siam” does not actually refer to the country, Thailand.  It refers to Siam Square, in Bangkok.

Of course, the other echoes from the word “Siam” are welcome!   :-)

Just look at the picture in the header: you will see “Home,” “About,” and “Synopsis.”  As of today, I’m still working on the synopsis.

The Kiss

This is definitely one of the best moments of the film.

 The Kiss

This recent Thai movie should be receiving accolades around the world.  I’ll go into a lot more detail in future posts, but for the moment I will just note the two stars: Mario and Witwisit (Pitch).
